Registration Details:

Attendance is by invitation and registration fees are waived for attendees and an optional spouse/partner for each attendee.

Attendee Registration includes:

  • Admission to all general and keynote sessions, breakout sessions
  • Option to attend pre-summit golf on Sunday, August 13th at no charge
  • Two breakfasts, two luncheons and four refreshment breaks during the summit from Monday, August 14th through Tuesday, August 15th
  • Access to the Sponsor Cocktail Reception on Sunday, August 13th, "Dinner at the Summit" on Monday, August 14th, and "Dinner Cruise" Event on Tuesday, August 15th for the attendee and their spouse/partner
  • Registration does not include airfare, hotel, or transportation costs to or from the airport, and any meals or snacks outside the sponsored functions outlined in the agenda

There are three levels of taxation that affect visitors to Vancouver. There's an 8% plus up to 3% municipal/regional district tax charged on accommodation, and 10% on liquor. For most other goods and services, there is a 7% Goods and Services tax (GST).

Smoking Laws

Smoking is not permitted by law in public buildings, on public transit, in shopping malls, and in most restaurants, pubs, nightclubs and casinos. Many restaurants and other establishments have designated smoking areas such as patios or outside heated seating areas. Please smoke in designated areas only.

Business casual attire is appropriate for all daytime summit activities. For both the evening social events - Sunday Cocktail Reception and Monday "Dinner at the Summit" event - business casual with a jacket for men and, afternoon or cocktail attire for women. Vancouver experiences an average daily high of 22°C/71°F and low of 13°C/55°F during the month of August. Please note that temperatures on Grouse Mountain can be a little cooler in the evening.

Summit Badges

Summit badges will be provided to all attendees on-site. Summit badges should be worn at all summit functions, as these will identify you as a Summit 2017 attendee and allows you entry to all summit sessions and events.

Mobile Phone/PDA Policy

As a courtesy to speakers and other attendees, please limit the use of mobile devices during presentations and sessions.

Guest Policy

Guests are welcome to accompany summit attendees to the Sunday evening Sponsor Cocktail Reception and the dinner events. No one under the age of 19 will be admitted to any summit activities. Guests are asked not to attend the summit day sessions. If you are planning to bring family members under the age of 19 please contact CAMS at, in advance of the summit for activity ideas for children.
